BIS Frucon Engineering is seeking a process engineer at our home office in St. Louis, Missouri. This position is responsible for performing engineering calculations for complex processes for our industrial clients. The process engineer position requires extreme attention to detail. Ideal candidates should require little supervision, demonstrate initiative, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must be able to write/review engineering specifications including design criteria and process descriptions. The process engineer supports proposal efforts through the preparation of scope documents, effort-hour estimates, and schedules for projects. The selected individual must have strong analytical and problem solving skills and be able to adapt and modify traditional techniques to solve complicated problems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of fluid handling systems.
  • Experience with generating Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s)
  • Experience with generating Piping and Instrumentation diagrams (P&ID’s)
  • Experience with performing material and heat balance
  • Experience with equipment sizing and equipment specifications
  • Experienced in the use of chemical engineering software packages such as hydraulic modeling, as well as MathCAD and MS office applications

Qualifications:

  • BS in Chemical Engineering
  • 6+ years experience in Process engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred
